To celebrate Jane Austen's 250th, we’re holding a ‘balloon’ debate to rate Austen’s male characters and discuss how she addressed issues of consent, coercion and seduction in her novels.
 
We’ll consider how Regency authors used fiction as a platform for sharing ideas about gender, power and courtship. 
 
And one by one, we’ll vote to see who gets pushed out...and who will be the last Austen hero standing...
