Hidden in the depths of the Old Testament is the story of Esther: a Jewish orphan selected to become part of the Persian Emperor’s Harem. She discovers a plot to eradicate the Jews and must outwit those in power, who see her as little more than a sex toy, in order to save them. Join us for this discussion group looking at the Bible as a work of literature and explore this rich high-stakes drama. You may like to read the book of Esther in preparation. Discussion will be facilitated by a lifelong Bible enthusiast and Salvation Army Minister. Come along to have a drink and a chat. Like the good book itself, our cocktails are epic! This event is FREE but please reserve a place by email to orders@ink84bookshop.co.uk.
